Coffee Break

I am NOT a coffee drinker! I love the smell of fresh brewed coffee. I like the idea of flavored coffees and sitting in a coffee house with a cup and a book or good friend, but the reality is I am more likely to have a cup of tea or hot cocoa in my hand. That being said, I am over the top about this new digital stamp set (yes, I said set complete with sentiments!) from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff (LSS). So many stamp companies have come out with coffee stamp sets, but I waited for them to go digital and it has been worth the wait! I just love the polka dots on the cup and this could definitely be tea or cocoa if I didn't want to go the coffee route. You need to RUN to LSS and see this set in its entirety--just fabulous! And it's only $5!!!
I used my cuttlebug divine swirls embossing folder with some SU Close to Cocoa ink on the inside with the cardstock. I wanted to mimic the swirls of steam coming out of the cup. The flower was dyed with SU Dusty Durango ink, sparkled up with some copper stickles, and then filled with a scalloped circle punched out of one of the sentiments in the Coffee Talk digistamp set.
What's coffee without a delicious side treat? Well, Lindsay has several "treats" for you today. Check out her blog where she has a FREE digital image, background paper and tags, and if you join the LSS Group at SNR Card Universe, she's got another FREEBIE for you! Is that woman a sweetie or what! But wait....there's more! (I know I'm starting to sound like an infomercial, but this IS exciting stuff)
The sketch for this card is brought to you courtesy of Inspirational Card Sketches #33. The sponsor this week is none other than our very own Lindsay. Go take a look at the sketch, pull out some stamps (or better yet, grab this coffe set at LSS) and enter your take on the sketch for a chance to win 10 DigiStamps from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff.
One last thing...the LSS design team has lots of inspiration for you today. Be sure to check out the incredible projects that can be made with digital images! Have Fun!

Dream a Little

Get your shopping shoes on! Lindsay's got some new stamps in her shop. And you've just got to have this lovely dragonfly! So much fun to "sparkle up". I colored her in first with my copics, and then added stickles for all that sparkle. On the left side of the card I also gave you a little sneak peak of this week's freebie.
One of the ladies has this complete image to give away. That Lindsay is so sweet to offer all these weekly freebies. Be sure to send a little love her way, too. I printed out the freebie three times, colored each one, added stickles, and then used a 1.25 square punch on random parts of the image, creating a patterned paper look.
This sketch, by the way, is the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #6. I really like combining Melissa's sketch challenge with the Digital Tuesday challenge, but this week Digital Tuesday was also running a sketch challenge. I'll have to come up with something else for that one, I guess.
Okay, here's your to do list: (1) hop around to all the design team blogs looking for the freebie and checking out all the pretties (start here), (2) go visit Lindsay's Stamp Stuff and get this dragonfly, (3) spend at least $5 in Lindsay's store and get another freebie because Lindsay is making this an everyday special (can I get a big "WooHoo!"), (4) dream a little and then get busy making those gorgeous projects you've been wanting to make!
